Privacy Policy
StoreBridge ("we", "us", "the app") is a Shopify app that lets merchants update product prices in bulk and optionally synchronize them to their Brightpearl account. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it.
1. Data we receive from Shopify
When a merchant installs our app, Shopify shares the following with us via the Admin API and webhooks:
- Shop information: shop domain, plan, primary email, country, currency, timezone.
- Product information: product and variant titles, SKUs, and prices — the data required to display and update your catalog.
We do not request, receive, or store any customer (shopper) personal data. No customer names, emails, addresses, orders, or payment details ever reach StoreBridge.
2. Data we store
- Price update history: for each update you run, we keep the affected product/variant IDs, SKUs, titles, old and new prices, and per-item results — so you can review reports and revert updates.
- Brightpearl connection settings: your Brightpearl account code and API credentials, stored encrypted (AES-256-GCM) at rest, plus your chosen price list mappings.
- Usage counters: the number of price rows updated per month, used for plan quotas and billing.
3. How we use data
Solely to provide the service: loading your catalog for editing, applying price updates you initiate, syncing prices to Brightpearl when you enable it, and showing progress, reports, and history. We do not sell or share your data with third parties for marketing.
4. Data sent to Brightpearl
If you connect Brightpearl, we send only product SKUs and the new prices you chose to your own Brightpearl account, using the credentials you provided. Nothing is shared with any other party.
5. GDPR & data deletion
- We implement Shopify's mandatory privacy webhooks. Because we hold no customer data, customer data requests and customer redaction requests are acknowledged with nothing to export or delete.
- When you uninstall the app, Shopify sends a shop redaction request 48 hours later and we permanently delete all stored data for your shop — update history, Brightpearl credentials, mappings, and usage counters.
- You may also request deletion at any time at the contact below.
6. Data retention
Per-item rows of completed updates are deleted after 90 days; aggregate job history is kept while the app is installed. All data is removed on uninstall per section 5.
7. Security
Data is stored in a managed PostgreSQL database with encryption at rest and TLS in transit. Brightpearl credentials are additionally encrypted at the application layer. Access is restricted to the app itself.
